On Saturday, Dayton Bombers defeated the Wheeling Nailers in front of nearly 7,000 fans in the 8th of 14 total matchups this season. The Bombers celebrated their second of three Military Appreciation nights of the season by honoring the members of the Wright-Patterson AFB and Springfield ANG, the Bombers and Sponsoring Partners. The team wore a special jersey tonight, designed by WPAFB employee Denise Baker. These jerseys were very well designed and looked great. Here is Denise with the winning Tyler Wooddissee jersey. These jerseys were auctioned off after the game to benefits the Fisher Houses at WPAFB and the Dayton Bombers Foundation. The Fisher House supports America’s military in their time of need, by providing “a home away from home” that enables family members to be close to a loved one at the most stressful time — during hospitalization for an illness, disease or injury. Each jersey went between $400 & $700 dollars.
This game also featured the home debut of the newest member of the Dayton Bombers, Tomas Zaborsky.

Tomas took the place of Ben Geelan, who was picked up by last night’s and tonight’s Bombers opponents, Wheeling Nailers. Here is a blog entry of my Dayton Bombers Team picture shoot. Here is Ben before on December 5, 2008 and from today’s game.
