On Monday June 8th, The Ohio State University’s Head Football Coach Jim Tressell spoke at the annual QB Club Father Son Event in Springboro. The event was designed to honor past Springboro High School Football players and present current football players with awards for their contributions to the football program. This years’s guest speakers were Jake and Josh Ballard. Jake is a 6’6″ 256 lbs TE for The Ohio State Buckeys, while Josh is a 6’2″ 230 lbs LB for Morehead State Eagles. Both, were recent graduates of the Springboro High School. Here are Jake and Josh holding a cake during the preceremony festivities.
The event was also designed to boost community’s interest in and support for the Springboro Football program. Among various announcements, was the unveiling of a new business program where local business would provide support to the High School weight room. The Owner of Campioni’s Mr. Brad Sheltrown outlined the QB Club Panthers in the Community Program, while Bill Tepe, the head of the QB Club and the father of the incoming Senior Michael Tepe provided the update of the Clubs activities. Also at the event were Coach Rodney Roberts who was the head Football coach while Jake and Josh were attending Springboro High School. Here are more images from the event.
